Interior Design
At UDC, we work on creating interesting, stimulating, delightful & soothing experiences for people. We look at interior design as the design of such experiences & their ability to create lasting impressions on the minds of people. We believe that each space has to have its own unique 'sense of place' just as each individual has his or her own personality & identity. We constantly try to search for new & better ways of accomplishing this belief through each project.
Designing interior spaces involves a lot more than designing the visual appearance & appeal. Perceptions of touch, sound & smell contribute significantly in creating the overall experience. We are aware of the significance of these perceptions & provide due consideration to them in our work. For instance, for the Mercury Guest Rooms of Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai, we have designed a unique fragrance selector system. This one-of-its kind system offers the guest with a choice of in-room fragrances to be selected for a pre-defined number of hours.
Design has to be based on a thoughtful consideration of people's expectations & the infinite ways in which, they may use the space. Design has to be user-centric.
